About Me

Who I am

I have had a long professional career as an environmental engineer and hydrogeologist but have always enjoyed photography and the outdoors. I have been operating a drone for several years and have been licensed since 2020. I have trained with the Drone Nerds and am a pilot for several drone services businesses. I am proficient in mapping using Pix4D and DroneDeploy.

My Equipment

I began flying with a $100 toy drone and was hooked. I quickly bought a Mavic Pro Platinum, and have upgraded to Mavic Pro 2 with its Hasselblad camera, 20 Megapixel, 4K video, 31 minute flight time and 45 mph speed. It has great obstacle avoidance and many pre-programmed flight schemes.
